57 Years of Compassionate Recovery Care

Get to Know Wayside House

Since our founding as a grassroots organization in 1967, Wayside House of Hamilton has grown into an accredited, evidence-based treatment program that serves over 500 men from across Ontario every year. All the while we’ve remained passionately committed to our belief that addiction is a chronic condition best treated with barrier-free, personalized care. At Wayside House, we make change possible by providing hope, community and safety.

Our Strategic Vision for Success in Recovery

Mission and Vision

We are a community-based nonprofit agency dedicated to providing live-in addictions treatment and supportive housing for males and transitional-aged male youth in Ontario through evidence-informed programming and partnerships. Our aim is to be the provider of choice for abstinence-based services for substance dependent men.

Core Values

We believe recovery is possible in a client-centered environment that values empowerment and accountability. Our comprehensive treatment plans are built on a foundation of trust and confidentiality and informed by the social determinants of health.

Philosophy

We empower our clients within a culture of continuous improvement, critical thought and innovation. Our commitment to evidence-based best practices ensures a high quality of treatment and lasting positive outcomes for our clients.
